1st August David Bain, Chairman of Birchington Garden Club, will be organising an evening on helping us with our showing techniques

4th July Just a fun evening with wine and a barbeque - lets hope the weather is good for us again

16th August This is the opportunity for all members to show off their skills in flowers, vegetables, cooking , crafts and floral art at our annual show. The Village Hall will be open from 8.00 am to members for setting up time- then it’s everyone out at 10.45 for judging at 11.oo am. The Hall will be open again for members and public at 2.00pm cups will be presented at 3.30

6th June Please bring all of your plants for our annual, open to the public, plant sale

2nd May Please note this meeting is the only one this year not at the Village Hall. We have been invited to Willowbank Nursery at the bottom of the High Street for demonstration of planting up hanging baskets.

Below is a brief list of what to expect this year

7th March - A talk by Dusty Miller on Vegetables

4th April - Floral Art with Selwyn Davidson

2nd May - An evening at Willowbank - demonstrating hanging baskets

6th June - Club plant sale

4th July - Social evening with barbeque

1st August - A talk by Mr David Bain on showing (subject to minor change)

16th August - SHOW

5th September Peter Cackitt talks on Bees & Beekeeping

3rd October - Social evening - weighing potatoes

7th November - A talk by Mr Manser on gardening as a boy

5th December - Social evening including making Christmas decorations

4th April Selwyn Davidson will be giving us many tips on helping us to improve our Floral Art

7th March We welcome back Mr Dusty Miller with a talk on vegetable growing

1st February 2008 - AGM followed by a talk by Mary on perennials

4th January 2008 - AGM followed by a talk from Mr Don Wilks on Birds, Butterflies and Bluebells - Ok so AGM is delayed until Feb
